Strata
Strata is a concept magazine that explores a single topic through layered perspectives. The masthead is angled slightly so it looks like it has different perspectives and paired with a soft gradient that mimics light revealing form, symbolizing the process of uncovering ideas to reflect the theme. The overall design supports the magazine’s core concept of depth, discovery, and shifting viewpoints.

Strata Feature Article
The challenge was to design a layout for a feature article about aftershocks in a way that visually supported the theme. Used a seismograph-inspired graphic and modified, shaky typography on the intro page to reflect the tension and movement of an earthquake. This concept was carried through the article for a cohesive and immersive reading experience.
